Moving Hell For One More Day…

Apologies all — no posts today — I need one more day to wrap up my move to D.C. Forgot what a drag moving is. I know I’m missing a ton of stuff, and it’s killing me, so if you’d keep me filled in on what’s happening I’d be grateful. Back to full-time posting first thing tomorrow morning.

You have our sympathies. Moving is hell. My wife has been informed that I am dying at present address.

Bernie is absolutely right.  Moving is among life’s most traumatic ordeals.  Not long ago I had to move five times in eight years.  It gave me deep appreciation for the aphorism that possessions are indeed a burden.

No apology needed, Greg.  Get well soon.  Or maybe go out tonight and get drunk!

So, did you find a cozy little place in the Trinidad neighborhood?

You’re moving from one great town to another great town. Once all the heavy lifting is done, it’ll be fine.

Andrew Pincus is live-blogging the Soto hearings over on TPM.

And just in case anyone was still wondering, Liz Cheney is serious about running for office. She has her usual unique take on things. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/jul/13/liz-cheney-open-political-run/

ABC: Liz definitely shares her dad’s delusions. It’d be nice to see her get smacked down by the voters.

The article characterizes Dems as having accused Panetta of lying. Not clear if that’ paraphrasing Liz or an editorial assumption of the authro. But it’s typica GOOPer BS.

Saying it IS not CIA’s practice or policy to deceive is not the same as saying it didn’t happen. Damn illiterate Beltway echo-chamber MSM.

(Hope y’all will forgive my fat fingers on this teeny-weeny Android keyboard.)

Im following the confirmation hearings on twitter for anyone interested. My sn is the same as here sgwhiteinfla. Today nothing but opening statements but they have been very insightful. Its apparent that GOOPers are going to prsss ahead with their “alienate all minorities” position in attacking Sotomayor.

Good luck with the move Greg. I know how crazy it can get.

    Good luck! I hate moving.

Greg, I moved 9 times in a 37+ year career with America’s favorite jackbooted thugs. No intention of ever doing it again. May all of your stuff be found in pristine condition.

    Three moves equals a fire.

Good luck on the move, Greg. If you find the Mediterranean cookbook I loaned you could you set it aside to send to me. It’s now out of print, and I’d like to have it back.

Moving always brings to mind George Carlins’ comedy bit on STUFF.

And, Greg, if you find my copy of the Gutenberg Bible . . .
