Limbaugh Attacks Stephanopoulos, Says ABC Falsely Reported That Eric Cantor Disagreed With “Fail” Remark
Okay, the Limbaugh wars have just taken yet another weird new turn — Rush is claiming that a high profile GOP leader who appeared to disagree with his professed hope that President Obama will fail didn’t actually disagree with him at all.
In an email exchange with me (more on that later), Limbaugh accused ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos of falsely reporting that the GOP leader, Rep Eric Cantor, had differed with him over whether Obama should fail.
Rush also suggested in our exchange that Stephanopoulos is part of a White House conspiracy, pointing to the reported bull-sessions Stephanopoulos has from time to time with Rahm Emanuel, James Carville and Paul Begala, which Rush said were designed to “coordinate WH talking points on ABC and CNN.”
Over the weekend, Stephanopoulos asked Cantor whether the “Rush Limbaugh approach of hoping the president fails” is the approach taken by Cantor and House Republicans. Cantor answered:
George, absolutely not. And I don’t — I don’t think anyone wants anything to fail right now. We have such challenges.
What we need to do is we need to put forth solutions to the problems that real families are facing today. And our common-sense, conservative principles of limited government, and the belief in free markets, and the belief that really opportunity can only be created by the private sector are going to undergird our proposals going forward.
I emailed Rush’s producer today for a reply, and got an emailed answer from Rush himself. The talk show host said that I had been the victim of “misleading information on the ABC website.”
“Cantor actually agreed me in his full answer re: policy,” Rush continued.
Rush argued that when Stephanopoulos interviewed Cantor, he hadn’t accurately reflected the nuances of his position in terms of hoping Obama will fail. Rush pointed out that what he had actually said at the CPAC conference was this:
“What is so strange about being honest and saying I want Barack Obama to fail if his mission is to restructure and reform this country so that capitalism and individual liberty are not its foundations?”
Though Stepanopoulos’ question seemed straightforward and fair, Rush’s email further complained that Stephanopoulos didn’t bring up his “qualifiers,” adding that Cantor’s call for a return to conservative governing principles showed he “actually echoed exactly the premise” of Rush’s point.
“This is not surprising given the morning phone calls from Rahm Emanuel to George, Carville, and Begala to coordinate daily WH talking points on ABC and CNN,” Rush concluded, though these conversations are apparently just bull-sessions among friends.
Update: More from my exchange with Rush right here.

.
Rush Limbaugh is a big, fat idiot.
.
.
he’s my new pen pal, jzap.
Hmmm. This is interesting. So Rush DEFENDS Cantor, even though Cantor CLEARLY said he didn’t want anything to fail and Rush goes out of his way to point the finger at Steph and the lack of “qualifiers”. Greg, do you think Rush is trying to send a message that Cantor is/will be the “leader” of the Republican Party?
Limbaugh’s going to have to denounce himself for agreeing with Cantor who disagreed with Limbaugh. Ourobouros.
Im sorry but Cantor didn’t give any qualifiers either. Even if Rush uses his qualifiers from CPAC which he definitely has NOT used every time he has talked about praying President Obama failed, Cantor dismissed out of hand that he wanted President Obama to fail AT ALL. And I quote, emphasis mine.
.
.
If Rush wants to play the nuance game lets play it. There doesn’t seem to be any ambiguity in Cantor’s statement there.
Cantor didn’t qualify his statement? Wait for it.
the world is now seeing how rush has operated . he is the leader of the repub party.
PLEASE GO TO http://www.newsone.blackplanet.com for rush greatest racist quotes!!!!!
This is delicious to watch.
Limbaugh will venture further and further out for more and more attention…
Somewhere there will be a republican that will stand up and tell him to shut up.
Limbaugh commands 17% of likely republican vote. No republican can win anything without that 17%; or attracting a broad spectrum of other citizens…
But tht 17% can’t elect squat…
Checkmate – Obama’s team
.
Greg says, “he’s my new pen pal, jzap.”
.
Be careful whom ya go pallin’ around with, Greg! OTOH, maybe you’re onto an answer to your own question, “Who runs gov?” Or at least, “Who runs gop?”
.
Seriously (somewhat), while it must be flattering to get e-mail directly from His Blowhardness, you might find it tempting to temper your analysis to avoid pissing him off and losing your connection. There’s a danger of becoming another channel for his talking points.
.
You wouldn’t want to conflate Horse’s Mouth with Horse’s ***!
.
.
Whats the difference between Imus and Rush? One swears and one sweats! Really guys, The man is not educated or intelligent to be in politics or the leader of anything. Good grief, when will this nonsense stop. You really think any common sense republican in the real arena will follow this drug addicted radio show host with a foul mouth/
Cantor can’t speak for himself? It’s been a day and it’s all over the media.
So what really happened is Cantor did say it but Cantor wants to save face. Cantwhore probably pleaded with Rush then s*cked him off for forgiveness.
Very nice Greg. Getting Rush outside his echo chamber where folks with 1/2 a brain can compare his BS with actual quotes from others should be enlightening. His ego will catch him in so many contradictions, he’ll surely explode.
One interesting thing to me is that Rush and the dittoheads see him as infallable and every word spoken is automatically gospel. Anyone in a leadership position who cannot admit error is a despot and that’s one of the main things the vast majority of America 75+% finally realized about W.
Is this a friggin’ circus, or what?
“he’s my new pen pal, jzap.”
Do me a favor and ask him if he can score any Oxycontin for me. I’m running low.
Wait–I thought Republicans hated nuance. Remember nuance was for the french Democrats. They didn’t need no stinking nuance.
“What is so strange about being honest and saying I want Barack Obama to fail if his mission is to restructure and reform this country so that capitalism and individual liberty are not its foundations?”
I don’t think those terms–”individual liberty” and “capitalism”–are in the Constitution that Lumbago misquoted in his CPAC talk. “Promote the general welfare” is in the Preamble, but I’m sure Limburger (the smelly cheese) would never cite that as an American tenet. And wasn’t it capitalism–”let the buyer beware” capitalism–that the Republicans love, cause this mess? And isn’t Rush’s core audience, those low-wage earners from the Bible belt, the biggest recipients of federal largesse while contributing the least to the Treasury? When will they get it through their bony heads that the principles he pitches don’t work except in a slavocracy?
I’ll say it again: LimpBaugh is the new Joe McCarthy, 2009-GOP style. Both are demagogues, both are extremist ideologues and intellectual pygmies, and both are extreme bullies. And I’ll ask again: WHO in the GOP will be courageous enough to step up and puncture this odious, despicable gasbag of a two-bit, self-impressed radio entertainer?
who really cares what a convicted drug addict says…? but i love that the goppers are letting slip more and more their bigot/racist/elitist views of the world. and we ordinary americans educate ourselves more and more how to vote those ******** out!
What does Rush know about nuance
I’m asking this all over the place — is John Ashcroft still alive? I would love to hear his input on the Republican implosion, especially after those Bush memos were released today and after Alberto put pressure on him while he was lying in a hospital bed recuperating. Let’s get his take on this Republican foolishness. Where in the World is John Ashcroft?
Stepanopoulos did not misquote—look at Rush’s own website, where he states: “I would be honored if the Drive-By Media headlined me all day long: “Limbaugh: I Hope Obama Fails.” Limbaugh lies, and lies, and lies some more all day long, and unfortunately too few in the media call him on it. About time!
This seems pretty simple to me. Limbaugh can bloviate to a national base of rabid conservatives and get great ratings. Cantor has to run in an actual district with actual voters. All they know is their 401K is worth half what it was a year ago, their neighbor’s lost his job and their cousin is losing his house. Regardless of politicat stripe, they don’t want to hear about failure.
.
Heh. Interesting censorware on this site.
.
If you mouse-over the asterisks in my comment above, you’ll see that “Horse’s ***” really says “Horse’s Аss.”
.
Ah, the joys of Unicode.
.
.
Rush is right. If Obama raises taxes I hope he fails too! If he raises taxes on me I won’t be able to purchase that new French Leer Jet to fly me to my new villa on Lago di Garda I was going to buy and sail in my new Greek Yacht I have now put on hold.
What on earth will I do?
So Limbaugh is citing the “nuance” in his speech to CPAC? Correct me if I’m wrong here, but wasn’t his CPAC speech on Sunday night? And wasn’t the Cantor interview on Sunday morning?
I don’t recall there being any such “qualifiers” in Limbaugh’s previous “fail” statements, so how could Cantor possibly have been in agreement with those statements before he said them?
New headline: “Rush Limbaugh walks back his ‘I hope he fails’ rhetoric”
Attacking the press is one way the republicans gain control of it. Limpbaugh follows the GOP rule book when he mouths off like this. For the most part the Party has chipped away at the reportage in a somewhat quieter, but persistent fashion. This is a signal that we’ll have more and louder attacks and the MSM will fall in line like good little foxes.
You lefties are so paranoid with Rush, Rush. 24/7. He really gets to you, huh? Even President Obie and his press sec. are obsessed with him. That’s quite a compliment that they are so taken with his every word…….does anybody notice the nation is headed down the tubes, the Dow is crashing over a cliff, dire straits, while the admin. is praying for Rush to fail? How can that be? Did they pray for Bush to fail also?
In psychology, there is a term: projection by which the mentally ill accuse others of what they do themselves. This has long been a technique employed by Limbaugh. I’m surprised nobody else has noticed it. Or have they?
Big difference Pat.
Nobody wished Bush would fail with dealing with the recession, 9/11 or Catrina.
Rush is hoping Obama fails in implementing his plan to deal with the economy. If he fails implementing the plan, we all fail.
What happens to parties in the minority that they totally implode? Who would have guessed a year ago that the Dems could successfully paint Rush Limbaugh as the head of the Republican party?
It’s sad and ironic that Rush has succeeded in destroying Mike Steele as the iconic black Republican leader he was meant to be. Steele has been publically humiliated by Limbaugh and forced to offer up an abject apology. Who can take him seriously now?
more from my exchange with Limbaugh:
http://theplumline.whorunsgov.com/uncategorized/rush-refuses-to-say-whether-successful-obama-fix-of-economy-would-be-good-for-the-country/
Round Three, Rush and the mass media. Lets see if Cantor will beg for forgiveness
This is so pathetic and proof positive that the Republican Party’s Leader and commander is Rush Limbaugh. This is all good news for the Democrats in that the extreme right wing’s leader is Rush Limbaugh which leaves over 295 million Americans out of 300 million that will vote against those that want the president to fail. Rush has about 5 million dido-heads at the most. Don’t buy into the 20 million number that the Republicans keep repeating. They too will find out that there will not be enough dido-heads in their districts to get them re-elected. Good News!!!
Treason? Don’t believe the 20 million that the Republicans like to count as listeners. Even if that was so, there is over 300 million people in this country. The one thing we all need to be aware of however is that it does not take many to terrorize the country–he could incite a small number of terrorist. This is why the FBI and Secret Service has to keep an eye on this group. There intentions are clearly to incite violence.
Wow Rush is sippin his own Kool Aid by the gallon. I’m telling you him and a lot of these right wingers like Glenn Beck remind me of Hitlers minions in the Bunker in 45′ completely oblious to the reality all around then, indulging in conspiracies and blaing everyone else for their failures.
Its pure arrogance, and folly..It actually would be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic…
By the way, Steele was not a leader anyway, he just might end up in the Big House. I will give Steele less than 90 days and he will be out anyway. This man started out insulting the party leaders and threatening to defund them for their campaigns if the voted their on consious in favor of the stimulus package. All Steele needs is to be fitted with a white robe and hood. Maybe he can get one from Rush.
Finally the Dems cought on to who to paint as the republican leaders, add, Hannity and Coulter to the list.
Pat Walter– if any prominent Democrat or liberal pundit had ever said they wanted Bush to fail, video of it would be plastered all over Fox News by now. It simply didn’t happen. Lots of us *believed* that Bush’s policies were going to fail or would be bad for the country, but that doesn’t mean we *wanted* them to. If we’d been wrong, we would have taken our lumps and have been glad that such harm didn’t befall the country.
Sadly, we were not wrong.
(All through, this, of course, conservatives insisted that believing the Iraq War would be a disaster meant we wanted it to be one, and being critical of Bush’s disastrous anti-terrorism policies meant we wanted the terrorists to succeed for political purposes, but that didn’t make it true. And now they think there’s nothing wrong with openly rooting for failure.)
Rush Limbaugh being the leader of the GOP is God’s gift to the Dems….and America.
Has Rush Limbaugh now become the voice of the Republican Party? It certainly appears that he has. And this will not change until Republican Party members, especially those in leadership positions deny it and develop a spine sufficiently strong to “take him on.” Right now, it would appear that they are too frightened to do so, either because they are afraid to lose their positions or care more about their own political power than they do about doing what they know has to be done.
Pat Walter:
Rush OWNS you!
“What is so strange about being honest and saying I want Barack Obama to fail if his mission is to restructure and reform this country so that capitalism and individual liberty are not its foundations?”
To be fair, there is nothing strange about that sentiment. The problem is that this straw man assumes these are President Obama’s intentions and they are clearly not.
“You lefties are so paranoid with Rush, Rush. 24/7. He really gets to you, huh?”
You’ve got to be kidding Pat! Rush is a loser. All thinking people know this. It is he, and his brothers in arms, that have killed the Republican brand, not conservative ideas.
We all, for the most part, want a right-sized government for whatever situation we as a nation are facing. You can’t always have small government, and you can’t always have unfettered liberties. There are variables in the real world.
BTW – if the Republican Party leaders would spend more time talking about honest solutions that take into account those
“variables”, then they do talking about Democrats, we might be able to hear them. We aren’t able to hear any of their good ideas through all of the noise.
What happened to the Republican convention slogan “Country First”?
Redshift -
Lie to yourself if you must, but not to me. Not only did Dems pray for Bush to fail, they openly prayed for Bush to be assasinated.
And yes, Barry Sotero does want to tear down the foundations of this country. It would make his Kenyan radical father and athiest/communist mother proud.
I have listened to Limbaugh on the radio and he does say that he wants Obamas liberal, tax and spend agenda to fail as it goes against what had made this country great. I do beleive he has a point. If it is bad for ma America, then I also want Obama to fail. So far it does not look like what he is doing with tax payers money is the right thing. I had better listen to Limbaugh some more. He has some very good points that he explains in detail. I have no axe to grind with him, only that what he says is true.
“Not only did Dems pray for Bush to fail, they openly prayed for Bush to be assasinated.”
You, sir or madam, are a bald-faced liar. I challenge you to present one single verifiable instance of that occurring. And you need to present a working link to your claimed evidence — I’ll have none of that ‘oh, I remember someone on the news saying it’ bullcrap.
SCRIBE
SHOW ME ONE QUOTE OR STFU COWARD.
Barry Sotero? is that like Piyush Jindal?
Its time to go back on your meds Scribe.
Oh and nice bigotry, whats wrong with being an atheist? your the kind of person who used to smear people as being jewish communists.
What with Rush calling the press “butt boys” today, where does the FCC’s obscenity rules come in?
The “butt boys”comment is not obscene. What is obscene is that it is quite true. These people are supposed to be watch dogs of the Gov. They can’t think, they can’t analyze, the can’t question. “Butt boys” couldn’t be more descriptive.
Given a choice between Stephanopoulos and Limbaugh I’ll go with George every time. Stephanopoulos lives or dies based upon his credibility. Rush’s fate depends upon feeding red meat to the 28% of the public that are “don’t confuse me with facts, conspiracy behind every tree, tin foil hat wearing” Rushites.
What a bunch of ****, Get over it and why not just change the Democratic party to communist party since socialism is really the end goal. I without qualifiers dearly hope the policies of Obama fail .
Please people, find something to use as a brain and stop listening to “Rush” whatever his name is. Someone, anyone, please tell me what credentials Rush has that makes him qualified to offer any substantive advice regarding the real problems that our government body must address. Compared to say, Paul Harvey, RL is the equivalent of teats on a boar hog.
sweeeeeeeet, Rush Limbaugh is the leader of the Repulican Party, ummmmm, good luck with that!
Could this be the beginning of the end of Rush Limbaugh?
Maybe poppin those pills again. He *did* try to joke off how much he was sweating at CPAC.
I want Obama to succeed! I enjoy watching people suffer the consequences of their bad decisions. One thing I’ll be able to enjoy is watching the DC area gain more and more wealth at the expense of the “butt boys” throughout the rest of the country that voted for Obama and this Congress just so they can end up sending more of their money (what is left of it) this way.
Until Rush gets a notice of foreclosure, applies for unemployment, or gets declined on simple loan, he and every other hard right winger will hope for Obama to fail.
Um, would you mind calling him “Limbaugh,” like you do with everyone else? Whether or not you’re on a first-name basis with the guy, you shouldn’t call a public figure by his first name.
Hey, what’s the problem, so Rush pops a few pills, you guys could all get together, he popping pills and you guys snorting and smoking dope!
What a bunch of losers.
agree or disagree with rush, he is good for the country and no one should want to see the end of him or his industry. face it, there are always at least two sides to an issue and both sides stretch the facts to advance their agenda. allowing the opposition to be heard is vital to the nation.
From Rush Limbaugh’s program:
RUSH: So I’m minding my own business, bothering no one — I guess it was about hour before the program or 45 minutes before the program — and I get this e-mail from Greg Sargent, who is writing at the Washington Post. Now, until a couple months ago, just so you know who Greg Sargent is, he was a blogger at a far-left blog post that calls itself Talking Points Memo. This is the website that is now trying to distort Bobby Jindal’s story about Hurricane Katrina in order to make it look like Bobby Jindal lied in his response to Obama a week ago. So that’s the place Greg Sargent comes from. Now, it starts out, Sargent wants to know if I agree that what Eric Cantor said on Sunday with George Stephanopoulos was a repudiation of my notion that I want President Obama to fail; and I wrote back and I said, “You’ve got it wrong. What you need to do is check the misleading information on the ABC website.”
I said, “Check the show transcript against what George Stephanopoulos posted on his website and you’ll see that on the show itself George did not define my remarks as they appear on the website. Cantor actually agreed with me in his full answer, re: policy.” So, in other words, the website for This Week with George Stephanopoulos is where everybody got the news that Eric Cantor had “repudiated” me, and they put the transcript of the show on the website up inaccurately. The transcript of the show leaves out all of the Rush qualifiers about hoping to fail. Cantor’s answer was essentially, policy-wise, to agree with me. So I wrote him back I sent him the transcripts. I sent him the website, what it was reported, and the transcript of the show, and I asked him to add this.
I said, “This distortion not surprising given the morning phone calls from Rahm Emanuel to George Stephanopoulos, James Carville, and Paul Begala to coordinate daily White House talking points on ABC and CNN.”
Greg Sargent wrote back and said, “Thanks. I’ll add. Meanwhile, Rush, what’s your reaction to Michael Steele’s apology to you? Do you think he needs to declare more clearly whether he wants Obama to fail?”
I wrote back, “No comment on Steele. That’s yesterday’s news — and please, Greg, try to stand out from the mainstream media chorus and not distort, as they all are on behalf of the Obama administration, my meaning on wanting him to fail. I want the country to succeed, as I have said until I am blue in the face.”
“Rush, could I ask a follow-up question? If Obama’s policies are designed to help the economy and those policies fail, as you’ve said you want, doesn’t the economy and by extension the country suffer?”
“Mr. Sargent, Obama’s policies are not designed to help the economy, and they won’t. That’s why I want them to fail. Take a look around, Greg. We’ve been ’stimulating’ and spending for a year now. Wealth is vanishing from Wall Street, people losing jobs and savings. His policies stimulate only government. They attack wealth producers and achievers. Obama’s policies are not new. They are not hope; they are not change. They are page one of the standard liberal playbook: tax and spend. They have not generated economic recovery or private sector growth in all of history.”
“Many thanks. One more quick follow-up, if I may. I understand that you don’t think Obama’s policies are destined it succeed. Reasonable people can disagree. However, putting aside that question, is it true…” and he goes on and on and on; and I wrote back, “I reject your premise. I’m not answering the question because the point is precisely what his policies are destined to do.”
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: I had to speed through the wrap-up of the e-mail exchange with Greg Sargent at the Washington Post, but he says, “I understand that you don’t think Obama’s policies are destined to succeed. Reasonable people can disagree about that. However, putting aside the question of what the policies are destined to do, is it true that if they succeed in their stated goal of righting the economy — however far-fetched that may be to you — then would that be good for the country?”
I recognized this trap from right off the top. I said, “Mr. Sargent, I reject your premise, especially since you are rejecting my answers. I will not put aside the question of what the policies are destined to do because that is the point. Obama’s policies are not destined to cause a private sector economic recovery. By his own admission this morning, he is putting his stamp and remaking this nation from its founding.”
Rush Limbaugh is right.
Do you seriously think that Stephanopoulis doesn’t check in with his old cohorts for info and that they don’t try to work him? How do you think he got so big at ABC anyway? How did Chris Matthews get so big at MSNBC?
They’re all in the same club.
Rush has the facts. If Obama succeds, it is America that will be hurt in its quest to succeed. That means your retirement funds. Your job. Your future.
Rush wants those things to be secure and there for you. Obama does not. The middle class must be smashed to ahve a two class society. It is easier to knock them down from the perspective of a Statist than it is to build them up, and keeping the people down has its advantages. As Rahm Emmanuel says, “Don’t let a crisis go to waste.” And most importantly, make it a crisis _all the time._
Let’s seeee who do I believe?? Rush? who has the guts to put the whole transcription for all to see and read for themselves?? or simple opinions from a simple blogger who doesn’t have the guts to put entire transcripts for fear of. The Truth and Rush win again!
Rush is right !! The Dems are pathetic.. we have had to overcome the war on poverty now we gotta deal with the war on capitalism… No more earmarks?? Good to know we got lies we can believe in… Bush had is head up his #$$@ with $800B in deficit spending with a DEM congress his last 2 years.. That was Bush’s fault for allowing the Demobrats to lead him by the nose.. Obama rails against Bush’s spending during the campaign.. but then puts his foot on gas and doubles up the deficit in one year… More lies we can beleive in…. Obama then proposes to cut the mortgage deduction, end charitable tax deductions, increrase taxes… nice war on charities and capitalism.. What a bunch of clowns and tax cheats!!
Why all the crying on left?? You guys have such great policies and the majorities so lead… If Rush says you are going to run the country off the cliff why cry?? Because its just a big smoke screen by Obama.. he knows his budget is a joke and WILL fail…but he still cries no Repubs will join him (except the three stooges Specter, Collins and the other silly chick from Maine).. Obama is suppose to be da man so lead…and quit crying !!
To: I don’t believe you:

Unless you were referring to a governmental official. I’ve yet to see a movie made on an assassination of Obama as there was one on Bush..
As far a anyone saying they hoped Bush failed? No, not that I can recall, but I do recall him being called Hilter, a failure and such. Which amounts to the same.
Obama is getting the same honeymoon that good o’ George got. Except he’s getting off lightly. The Democrats were in the majority his second term. The Republicans are not with Obama.
Politics is basically the same from both parties lately…it stinks.

er…Did you know Mr Harvey (God rest his soul) and Mr Limbaugh were friends? Did you also know that Mr Harvey actually defend Mr Limbaugh on during a broadcast?
You recommend people to stop listening to “whatever his name is” and you yourself haven’t even listened to him to judge him? Whether I agree with Mr Limbaugh or not, I wouldn’t make that comment unless I heard his message completely. A blog is not somewhere to judge someone. Surely you are more intelligent than that I bet.

@Trevor…Ouroboros…clever : D
This Politico story seems to bear out Rush’s theory: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0309/19596_Page2.html
The title” Rush Job: Inside Dems’ Limbaugh Plan.”
sigh…… rush is not always right but .. factually the stephanopolis/abc transcript does not match the actual transcript , much the way palin”s interviews were edited so much that they did not come close to the meaning or intent of the answers . ” wag the Dog ” is now what we face . it is not what is true but what “they ” can make us believe
before you argue check out the facts from many sources
study the history of pre nazi germany , pre marxist russia pre mao china and look at the similarities to our own country at this juncture
the nationalising of any industry has never worked that I can find ( see amtrak)(post office)
it i simple folks
rule by the letter of the constitution and get the govermnet the hell out of the way and make this country great again
and while you are at it read “atlas shrugged ” rand , what ever your philisophy lived through the socializing of a nation she knew the score
I just read the transcripts of your emails to Rush. You, Mr. Sargent, are creepy. “Many Thanks, Rush” you said. Then you distort every word he said to make your point. You liberals go right ahead, you go ahead and make those of us who work hard everyday decide that it is just not worth it. You go ahead and make us all want handouts. Let’s see about your liberal policies then. I used to live in Europe, and I saw socialism destroy people. Working families paid over 50% in taxes over there. I know what Obama will do…do you?
Nick: “Unless you were referring to a governmental official. I’ve yet to see a movie made on an assassination of Obama as there was one on Bush.”
The claim was “that Dems openly prayed for Bush to be assassinated.” Your reply is t3h FAIL. Furthermore, you obviously missed all the people calling that jerk out for the very comment to which you referred.
Did you really think no one would check it out? Put up or shut up.
Nick: “As far a anyone saying they hoped Bush failed? No, not that I can recall, but I do recall him being called Hilter, a failure and such. Which amounts to the same.”
You’re pitiful, Nick. That’s called “moving the goalposts.” No one prayed for Bush to be assassinated, and no one hoped for his failure. *Calling* Bush a failure certainly isn’t the same as hoping or wishing for his failure. If you can’t see the difference, then I feel sorry for you.
Nick: “Obama is getting the same honeymoon that good o’ George got. Except he’s getting off lightly. The Democrats were in the majority his second term. The Republicans are not with Obama.”
Obama’s gotten no honeymoon with either the press or the GOP. If you followed the business media, you’d know that they’re screaming bloody murder about his policies and proposals.
Nick: “Politics is basically the same from both parties lately…it stinks.”
Oh, well then, that makes it okay for Republicans to act like spoiled children, right?
Mad as Hell: “I know what Obama will do”
What else do the voices in your head have to say?
“these conversations are apparently just bull-sessions among friends.”
hey – I’ve got some really nice land in Florida that I’ll sell you really cheap.
Why don’t you print the actual transcripts like you told Rush that you would?
“these conversations are apparently just bull-sessions among friends.”
Obama WH Secret Phone Conferences Bear Fruit With TV Media’s Limbaugh Attack

“As soon as the sun rose on the day after Limbaugh’s CPAC appearance, three of the four of the phone call participants attacked Limbaugh with the same talking points. It seems obvious that they coordinated their attack together in the Obama secret strategy session.”
I don’t believe you: read Atlas Shrugged. Your sad attempt to put me down was pathetic. Enough said.

I certainly hope he [GWBush] doesn’t succeed.” –James Carville, September 11, 2001
America (like England and other nations) needs a study on Presidential remote control by advisers, who may successfully use them as puppets of very self serving aims that have little to do with government and much more to do with cash flow that doesn’t tend to reach the American people at all.
Isn’t that what having a President’s ear is good for, or so it seems over the last several Administrations. There was good reason Hillary’s antennae became skeptical of Stephanopolous, but we wonder if Michelle’s antennae is up to the job?
artice on your blog post ! There was pretty much new stuff for me which i didin’t know before reading this.
