Fox Poll: Majority Wants To Soak Rich; Minority Sees Obama As “Celeb”
And now for a bit of mid-afternoon comic relief.
I hope it doesn’t sound too geeky to say this, but it’s really, really fun to read Fox News polls. Today’s Fox survey, for instance, has a question about whether people favor taxing the rich that’s comically slanted — but still doesn’t get the answer the pollsters wanted:
Do you think asking the wealthiest Americans to pay more in taxes is a good idea because it levels the economic and social playing field, or a bad idea because it punishes work and success?
Good idea: 55%
Bad idea 39%
Then there’s this question, featuring a well-known blast from the past:
Does Barack Obama seem more like a world leader or more like a celebrity?
World leader: 49%
Celebrity: 35%
Polling on “celeb” now? Calls to mind those Japanese soldiers who fought on in the Pacific well after the end of World War II…
Separately, Eric Kleefeld ferrets out another good one.

The real surprise isn’t the numbers, despite their best push-polling intentions, but that they actually published the results.
heh.
Oh Greg, a geeky man after my own heart (I know you are married so don’t think I am insinuating myself here). So don’t apologize about your love of polls. They are great fun.
Oh Greg love your site… I’m not ashamed, like Ifo, to say it but… I’m in love with your posts! And I don’t care if you’re married! And I followed you from TPM. But I’m not a stalker. I’m not.
Push-poll questions like No.1 are always fun because it throws the entire result into question and nothing can be made of the numbers. Fun anyway!
