Breaking: Mitt Romney Won’t Be Health Care Czar

That whacky idea that President Obama should make Mitt Romney his new health care czar? It appears to be dead.

Not that it was ever alive in the first place. As I noted below, a stint helping Obama realize his agenda wouldn’t exactly help Mitt in the 2012 GOP primary.

And Romney’s political operation, Free and Strong America PAC, is getting ready to host a fundraiser for Republicans who oppose Obama’s agenda, which, presumably, wouldn’t exactly recommend Mitt for a post in the Obama administration. (Or would it?)

So how about Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen? Not a good idea, says Jonathan Cohn.

Okay, then, how about Newt Gingrich? Or, even better, Orrin Hatch?

This post made me cringe. The thought of Newt or Hatch as HHS… Please, I’m still frail and recovering from the past 8 years. What may be jokes to you are like poking open sores to me.

How ’bout Alan Keyes? Makes just about as much sense.
