Fox News Poll Finds More Think Fox News Will Win Confrontation With White House

Hmmm, not sure this line of questioning will make it easier for Fox to argue that they’re a legit news organization.

From the internals of the new Fox poll:

The Obama administration is criticizing FOX News Channel for its coverage of the administration. If the disagreement between the Obama administration and FOX News Channel continues, who do you think will come out on top?

Administration 39%

Fox News 43%

Breaking: Fox finds more think Fox will defeat the White House! I wonder if this will persuade the White House communications team to drop its crusade.

Naturally, the number is driven largely by Republicans, who think Fox will win the standoff by a large margin, 65%-26%. Say one thing for Fox: The network sure knows its audience.

    How does one “win?”

“Dunn…would only sign on in April as an “interim” chief, with an end-of-the-year expiration date on her current tenure. But giving up nominal power in the White House allows Dunn to do the dirty work that ultimately assures her staying power inside the administration.

“A source inside the White House, who was not authorized to speak about strategy meetings, said Dunn went out front against Fox first and foremost because it was her job, but also because it potentially gave the administration the opportunity to distance itself from the flap with the Roger Ailes-led news channel once she leaves the communications job.”

O goody! I hope they fight the White House up one side and down the other.

I like the Right as nutty as possible.

I find it amazing that the Obama/Fox battle gets more attention than the fact that a sitting U.S. Senator on a key committee conducted an affair with the wife of an employee, paid off her family, and got the former employee a job lobbying him against the law.

Where’s the outrage that John Ensign is still on the SFC?

Has or Will the media ask questions about why the DoJ hasn’t started investigating yet?

Has or Will the media ask GOP leadership if he will continue to serve on the committee once the DoJ has started investigating?

Is it in the Senate code of ethics that someone under investigation by the DoJ can retain powerful committee seats?

    Inquiring minds wanna know.

I noticed on Fox polling, specifically the last 2 polls, indies dropped from 21 to 16 and republicans went from 31 and jumped to 37 which are by far the largest jumps they have had so far this year. If their polls are weighed, this would be influencing their two most recent polls they’ve released.

    Question everything, especially them.

  6. Baby Hugo | October 16th, 2009 at 02:10 pm

Every other “news organization” takes the straight party pro-Democratic line, what is your point? Is MSNBC a news organization? Is CNN? And what about questioning authority, isn’t that a virtue? Apparently not when the president is 50% black and 100% commie. You people are laughable.

  7. Tena | October 16th, 2009 at 02:12 pm

That’s right, BabyHugo – I want you to write to those liberal news outlets constantly and complain in the most outre terms possible.

  8. Tena | October 16th, 2009 at 02:13 pm

” the president is 50% black and 100% commie. You people are laughable.”

Brilliant – do have that made into a bumper sticker soonest.

BH. Seriously man, are you sbj’s Mr. Hyde?

  10. lmsinca | October 16th, 2009 at 02:27 pm

BH falls into this category. “GOP Base Driven by Bizarre Ideology, Not Racism” report says, except he seems to defy the second part.

“What drives the GOP base, rather than race, was a genuine belief that Obama has a “secret agenda” to drive the country in a socialist direction, said the authors. These voters want more opposition, not more cooperation.”

  12. quarterback | October 16th, 2009 at 02:31 pm

    Hilarious rant, Ethan!

Look over there — a Republican scoundrel with no power to do anything! Why isn’t the Democrat DOJ prosecuting him for something — adultery maybe!

You really can’t figure out why the White House is focused on a public crusade against a minor cable channel catering to a rump/racist party that everyone hates? I don’t know how that can’t be obvious to smart guy like you.

  13. quarterback | October 16th, 2009 at 02:34 pm

While we’re at it, why all the focus on this silly Rupert Murdoch vanity station that everyone hates while there is an actual Chairman of the Ways and Means who is a serial tax cheat and crook of long standing?

When will he be investigated? Where is DOJ? Why is he still chairman?

    Where is the outrage?

  14. eric | October 16th, 2009 at 03:43 pm

Well, duh, a Fox poll finds more people think Fox will win in the war of words between Fox and the White House! Fox polls find exactly what they WANT to find when they poll. They are an extension of the far right Republicans, and will say or do anything to make their case.

The American people are not stupid. We understand that Fox is prejudiced and dishonest. Most of us applaud the White House finally fighting back and calling them on their mendacity.

And a prediction: Beck will flame out and crash and burn like Jimmy Swaggart did years ago. The man is skating on very thin emotional ice and is borderline psychotic already. Just watch. The flame out is coming and you read it here first.

“The man is skating on very thin emotional ice and is borderline psychotic already. Just watch. The flame out is coming and you read it here first.”

O he’s right on the edge. He’s “exhausted” and we’re a big 10 months into this administration.

Hell = I didn’t get exhausted until 2005. The Right has no stamina.

Ailes and Murdoch would probably LOVE to have a 2010 version of “Network.”

  17. rukidding | October 16th, 2009 at 05:10 pm

This was indeed a SHOCKING poll. The thing that shocks me is the network who put up old phoney pics to show their beck 9/12 crowd…who allowed beck to say 75,000 people were really 2-3 million…who had producers off camera cheerleading, whipping the crowd into a frenzy everytime the reporter did a standup in front of them…all of this slick propaganda…and they could only muster a 4% spread in THEIR OWN SURVEY. Fox must be losing their touch. I would have guessed the result to be closer to ohh say 60-40 if O’Reilly was reporting..70-30 if it was Wallace…80-20 if it was Hannity…and of course glen boy himself would have been able to produce a 93-7 win for Fox with his excellent sources. Fox is a joke!

Roger Ailes spills the beans. Fox News was never “Fair & Balanced”.

Roger Ailes explains why he decided to hire Chris Cuomo to do commentary on Fox News.

    http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/NonMoto,21/Its-fun-to-see-conservatives-turn-on-their-own-kind,675858

“Klayman takes particular aim at the “strange and petty tactics” of the network’s chairman Roger Ailes. When he asked Ailes about his decision to hire Chris Cuomo, the current “Good Morning America” co-host, to do commentary, the Fox News executive replied: “If I’m going to put on some goddamned liberal, I might as well get the dumbest f*uck I can find!””

Now folks do you understand why Juan Williams, Mara Liasson, and Alan Colmes were hired by Ailes.

He hired them because he wanted three “of the dumbest liberal f*ucks he could find.”

And believe me, he got what he wanted.

Faux newz – for the liars, run by the liars and of the liars. What else is new ?

  20. democracy7 | October 18th, 2009 at 05:06 pm

Faux Nausea listens to their own lies, issues a poll to their own base and comes up with predictable answers, no surprise there.
Poll people on the opposite side of the aisle and I bet you would find entirely opposite results.
“Statistics never lie, but liars use statistics”.

Well there goes freedom of speech… Goodbye.

  22. YouKnowMe | October 24th, 2009 at 02:54 am

Oh, wait, and the people against Fox are idiots. Probably the same people who perform acts of violence against Christians for standing up for our rights. Fox news has made mistakes, yes, but so has EVERY OTHER NEWS STATION. Fox doesn’t ask Obama about his family and how many vacations he is taking this year or about his dog, they ask about healthcare and job ratings and such. Important questions. Fox is as far right-sided as CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and every other station is left-sided. Seriously, grow up. One more thing: Fox is the NUMBER ONE watched news station. Now since that is off my chest… Have a good day with no freedom of speech.

  23. jeanius | October 29th, 2009 at 09:58 am

This site is laughable. Do you have any comments on MSNBC, CNN, etc? Funny when a different viewpoint is opined the left gets sooooo upset. Something like dishing it out but can’t take it. LOL When this adminstrations is revealed (some stuff has already been) not only will the indies bail on it, but I believe even the Dems will throw them under the bus. Can’t wait!!!!

  24. jeanius | October 29th, 2009 at 09:59 am

I forgot to mention that the NPR poll has opposite results on the poll. Any comments now? Oh yeah they are fair and balanced. ha ha ha
