Forty UNDER 40 awards ceremony
The Prince George’s County Social Innovation Fund held its first annual Forty UNDER 40 awards ceremony on January 31. The event was a way of offering a “hometown acknowledgment” to emerging leaders in the county and was held at the new Busboys and Poets restaurant in Hyattsville. Rushern Baker, the county executive, provided opening remarks and local slam poet Patrick Washington performed before the crowd of about 150 people.
