Push From The Right Fails To Derail Obama Justice Department Picks
As you faithful readers know, we reported here the other day that the conservative Family Research Council was threatening a new form of bureaucratic retribution against GOP Senators who failed to vote against key picks for the Obama Justice Department that the group found intolerable.
But it doesn’t look like it’s working: Today the Senate voted to confirm two of them, both by lopsided majorities.
Among the Obama Justice picks being targeted by the Family Research Council and others on the right: Associate Attorney General Thomas Perrelli, Solicitor General Elena Kagan, and Deputy Attorney General David Ogden.
Ogden has angered the right for his work representing Playboy. Perrelli represented Michael Schiavo. And Kagan opposed a measure letting military recruiters on campus.
Well, today the Senate voted to confirm Ogden, 62-28. And it voted for Perrelli by a bigger margin, 72-20. Kagan still seems to be held up a bit, but Dems expect her to sail through without a problem.

Looks like it’s a bad day for the Godly. LOL
It’s never a bad day for the Godly, Tena. They are lemonade specialists.
For example, they took the big Lemon, Satan, and then used him as the trash-model for the corporate whistle-blower type. Satan is, if you think about it, the first disgruntled former employee.
Bernie, did you actually use the word ‘Godly’? Clearly you’re expressing a personal familiarity with the mind of The Lord that most mortals would be reluctant to express — but maybe you think you have an extra-special relationship with The Lord, the sort of relationship that most mere mortals would distrust.

Yes, I did actually use the word “Godly”. I commonly use all the forms of the word – Godish, Goditude, Godalicious, etc. Do I need to forward royalties somewhere?
But, no, I have no special relationship or knowledge. I suppose if I did, I might feel some compulsion to, say, make determinations on how the word and its derived formations ought or ought not to be used.
