Presenting … The Hari Sevugan Profile!

Okay, you asked for it …

Some of you have noted that DNC spokesperson Hari Sevugan has a flair for biting and colorful attack lines. He recently blasted Fred Thompson’s wish for Obama to fail as follows: “After that presidential campaign, Fred Thompson knows a thing or two about failure.”

Some of you asked to know more about Sevugan.

So here’s our brand new Hari Sevugan profile over at WhoRuns Gov.

A preview: Sevugan was born in Madras, India. He spent some time as a middle school teacher. And he once died his hair blond in front of a roomful of students after losing a bet.

There’s also some interesting stuff about the role he played on the Obama campaign and the rapid response work he did against both Hillary in the primary and John McCain in the general.

Give it a read. And by the way, if there are other people you’d like to see profiled, please let us know in comments or by email.

Thanks for the profile. Seems like Sevugan was one of the major players behind the scenes who helped President Obama get elected. I imagine the rapid response team were kinda like the CIA of campaigning where they launch a lot of the attacks and counter attacks but you never know they are there. I think he has a prime opportunity to do great damage to the House Republicans over this budget issue. The truth is no matter what they pull out of their hat next week once it gets scored by the CBO their deficit projections will end up higher than President Obamas basically because if they put in a spending freeze then the CBO will assume the recession will last longer and growth will be slower in the long run. They have almost zero chance of coming up with something that won’t make them look foolish for one reason, its because Republicans have become so wed to conservtive ideology that they automatically eliminate some ways that they could raise revenue or spur growth in the economy because its seen as liberal or progressive. I fully expect Sevugan to use their “budget” to hang them next fall.

I would like to see a profile for Bill Burton because I think he is an up and comer and is likely to have a big time career after he leaves the White House

Sevugan made another shrewd move in a comment about Michele Bachmann
    .

I asked DNC spokesman Hari Sevugan for a response to Rep. Michele Bachmann’s (R-MN) call for an “orderly revolution” to save freedom from President Obama’s Marxism. And here’s what he said to me: “I think I’ll pass. Michele Bachmann’s rants serve to discredit her more than anything I could say.”

Bill Burton has been profiled quite a bit. How about Valerie Jarret? She seems so quiet.
