Dems intend to go on the offensive today by holding up Republican criticism of Obama’s Nobel as the latest example of Republicans desperately hoping for America’s failure, placing it alongside GOP cheer at America’s loss of the Olympics as evidence of an unmistakable pattern.

The Republican Party has thrown in its lot with the terrorists — the Taliban and Hamas this morning — in criticizing the President for receiving the Nobel Peace prize. Republicans cheered when America failed to land the Olympics and now they are criticizing the President of the United States for receiving the Nobel Peace prize — an award he did not seek but that is nonetheless an honor in which every American can take great pride — unless of course you are the Republican Party. The 2009 version of the Republican Party has no boundaries, has no shame and has proved that they will put politics above patriotism at every turn. It’s no wonder only 20 percent of Americans admit to being Republicans anymore – it’s an embarrassing label to claim.
It’s worth noting that Republicans who fail to find anything good or celebratory to say about the Nobel risk doing at least as much damage to themselves as to Obama, by feeding the GOP-wants-America-to-fail meme.

Our local magnet school, through a vote by students, faculty, staff, and then the community, changed its name to Barack and Michelle Obama Service Learning Elementary. The charge was that it was premature and didn’t reflect “a body of work.” Yet if the name change had been deferred for x number of years, all the children in that school, most of them minority and immigrant, would have missed out on the aspirational power of the name in their growing up years, and guess what? There’s a lot that can happen between ages 8 and 16, and those things can affect not just individual children but all of us. So as we said back in the day, Peace, people.

Cite examples of any Democrat labeling anyone with legitimate concern over healthcare as either “rabid extremists” or “angry mobs.” Such criticisms were justly made at those who promulgated imbecilic arguments like “death panels,” “socialized medicine,” “healthcare denied to Republicans” because none of those memes are even remotely rational or true.
Cite a quotation where Democrats call Republicans terrorists. Woodhouse certainly didn’t. Woodhouse said that the “Republican Party has thrown in its lot with the terrorists.” Note, he did not say that Republicans are terrorists. Grow up.

There have only been 3 presidents to earn this honor. Woodrow Wilson for creating the league of nations which led to the UN. Theodore Roosevelt for negotiating peace between Russia and Japan in the japanese/russian war. And our dear leader for not being bush and making pretty speeches. When Yasser Arafat won this award I thought it was dead, but I was wrong they just nailed the final nail in the coffin today. I can name what it traces back to: Bill Clinton, soft loans to people who can’t afford loans, Fannie Mae Freddie Mac, Fair Housing Act of 1995. Quit blaming Bush for the economic crisis. It’s old as hell. 1995-1998 look at those three years, and look at the economy and debt. That’s when the republicans took office. The house decides spending NOT the president. Look at 2006-2009. Three years of democrat rule…After two years we collapsed, it’s 3 years now and we have not recovered. They failed as they always do, and passed the buck to republicans as they always do. Bush was a good president. The congress in 1995-2006 were good congressmen. 2006-2009, mostly democratic, are quite frankly the worst we have had. The fall this time is not a result of republicans, so get your heads out of your asses and save america. I can’t believe some of you have the nerve to state that a republican MINORITY is causing the democrats to fail. Yeah, well that’s not true, but if it were, it proves democrats are such idiots and or wimps that they should not be in office if they can’t get anything done even with a majority.
