During an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Charlize Theron talked about two things the Internet loves to swoon over: dogs and babies.
In addition to promoting her new films “Snow White and the Huntsman” and “Prometheus,” the actress is also celebrating the adoption of her son Jackson, whom she welcomed into her home after a two-year process.
Before Jackson joined the family at just 9 days old, Theron told DeGeneres in December that she had adopted two dogs, Berkley and Blue.
Apparently the three new additions are getting along swimmingly.

Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron and the response to the raciness in ‘The Paperboy’
So, uh, the movie “The Paperboy” — a new film from writer-director Lee Daniels (“Precious”) that stars Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, Matthew McConaughey and John Cusack — screened last night at the Cannes Film Festival.
And a lot of people are buzzing about it because it’s got some tawdry, racy stuff in it.
Which is a long way of acknowledging that ... well ... I am not sure how to put this delicately so I’ll just say it: Nicole Kidman urinates on Zac Efron.
To be fair, based on this account from Vulture, she does it because he has been attacked by a jellyfish. But she also does it because she plays a sexed-up woman who is both fixated on an attempted murderer (Cusack) and also a bit possessive of Efron’s character, who has the hots for her.
“If anyone’s gonna pee on him, it’s gonna be me,” Kidman reportedly shouts in the film, shooing away other females who might be eager to neutralize Efron’s stings. Vulture describes this moment as “only the sixteenth weirdest thing to happen in the movie.”

Bethenny Frankel stays coy about divorce rumors, promotes talk show

Reality show person Bethenny Frankel is no stranger to promoting her projects, from the many Bravo series she’s been involved in to her line of “Skinnygirl” products.
At the moment, the star entrepreneur (startrepreneur, anyone? No?) is making press appearances to discuss her new novel and her daytime talk show that premieres next month on Fox affiliates.
As you may or may not have noticed, tabloid stories about the private lives of famous people begin popping up when they have a project to promote, a phenomenon I’m sure is sometimes completely coincidental — and sometimes not.
Now unnamed tabloid sources are claiming that the former “Real Housewives of New York” cast member and husband Jason Hoppy are ending their marriage. Based on sources who spoke to RumorFix and E!, this is false.
When a Twitter user inquired about this report to Frankel, she did not confirm or deny it, or even decline to comment. Instead, she responded, “We’re going to talk about EVERYTHING on my show! June 11 on [Fox Broadcasting].”

(UNIVERSAL FILMS VIA AP)
For anyone who fell in love with River Phoenix in “Stand by Me” and watched his talent blossom in films such as “My Own Private Idaho,” his death at age 23 came as a tragic blow. Now after almost two decades, fans may be able to see a completed “Dark Blood,” the film Phoenix was shooting when he died of a drug overdose in 1993.
“Dark Blood” director George Sluizer has created a campaign through the Web site CineCrowd to raise money for the film’s “post-production budget,” which includes editing and music composition. The Netherlands Film Fund will supply another part of the budget, according to the site.
While request for comment from the Fund regarding “Dark Blood” has not been returned, the organization has funded several of Sluizer’s other projects.
To sweeten the deal, Sluizer has released a trailer to promote the movie, in which Phoenix plays a hermit living on nuclear testing site.

John Malkovich learns the meaning of life from Siri

John Malkovich is the latest celebrity to shill for Apple by having a charming conversation with the iPhone’s Siri.
But Malkovich being Malkovich, his conversation is deeply philosophical. He doesn’t even ask Siri a question, really, he just mutters the word, “Life,” and then gets a succinct yet somehow all-encompassing answer regarding its meaning, via his handy mobile device.
